24th - 26th July 2009 CYCLING TOUR OF LOLLAND
Cycling along selected routes running through the flat and cycle-friendly landscape on Lolland. The routes pass through the most beautiful parts of Lolland, through woods, by beaches, past manor estates, ancient monuments and other fabulous sights.

28th July – 2nd August 2009 FEMØ JAZZ
Ordinarily, there are 144 people living on Femø. However, every year in the first week of August, the population of the island is increased by a couple thousand cheery jazz enthusiasts. The island hosts one of the most charming and oldest jazz festivals in Denmark.

30th – 31st July ART OF THE COW 
Maribo Tourist Association, Maribo Chamber of Commerce and the Restaurateurs Association come together to organise a beef barbecue grill, an excellent market with an emphasis on art and not least a few days of good music and high spirits in Maribo Torv (the Town Square).
 
31st July – 8th August 2009 NYKØBING FALSTER FESTIVAL WEEK 2009
Cultural experiences for children and adults in the town square. The Festival Week has been one of the great highlights of the summer in Nykøbing F. since 1989, when the town celebrated its 700th anniversary.

7th – 9th August 2009 THE RODEO FESTIVAL

13th August 2009 THE PRODUCERS THE PRODUCERS
In August 2009 the NørregadeTheatre for the 7th time, will move out into the green woods and put on one of Lolland Falster’s most popular cultural events – the open air performances at Hylddalen in Bangs Garden.

14th – 16th August 2009 NYSTED MARKET TOWN 600 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Denmark’s most southerly market town celebrates its 600 year anniversary.

15-08-2009 NAKSKOV JAM FESTIVAL

19th - 23rd August 2009 SUMMER MUSIC AT FUGLSANG
Summer music at Fuglsang is an annual festival arranged by Storstrøms Kammerensemble (The Danish Chamber Players)) in the middle of August. The festival takes place at Fuglsang Manor estate and offers several days of intensive chamber music and other arts and music depending on the annual theme.

20th – 23rd August 2009 REVENTLOW MARKET
For 27 years in a row the Reventlow Market has been held in the historic town of Pederstrup on Northwest Lolland. A huge programme of entertainment, Tivoliland amusements, exhibition and plenty of stalls.

23rd August 2009 NAKSKOV COD FESTIVAL 
Nakskov Cod Festival has existed for over 50 years and it has for many people become a tradition, which you simply have to take part in every year. Therefore, there is also a great demand for places on the boats, which sail on the day and many sign up already on the first day when places become available.

28th August 2009 CRAFTSMAN DAY
The day brings together such old familiar friends as amongst others: the painter, carpenter, bricklayer, plumber, black powder shooter, thatcher, pewterer, beekeeper, rope maker, coppersmith, animals from Elisabethsminde, wicker worker, and blacksmith.

September 2009 SOUTH SEA ISLANDS FRUIT FESTIVAL
Sakskøbing forms the setting for a great national festival and harvest market with lots of stalls and tasty delights for the whole family.

5th - 6th September 2009 NAKSKOV FJORD DAYS
Over the years, the Fjord Days have enjoyed tremendous popularity, in that there are often about 50-60 widely different activities on offer, especially for families with children. The number of visitors ranges between 4-5,000 people who come from all over East Denmark to experience our fabulous fjord and the numerous activities on offer.

OCTOBER
10th October 2009 APPLE DAY ON FEJØ 
Apple Day on Fejø takes place every year at the beginning of autumn holiday. It is an excellent destination for a family excursion. You can experience how through fun and art you can use apples for something other than just eating.

NOVEMBER
November 2009 CHRISTMAS MARKET IN SUNDKØBING
The doors open up on the Christmas market in the old market town of Sundkøbing set in the year 1400. Visit the quaint houses in the town and enjoy the aroma of risengrød (rice pudding), gløgg (mulled wine with raisins and almonds), and Christmas spices that wafts around the whole town. Every day, the Gyldne Svane Inn serves delicious traditional Christmas meals with a tanker of frothy beer.

DECEMBER
December 2009 CHRISTMAS MARKET – GAMMELGAARD ESTATE
The annual Christmas market is held in the first weekend of December in the loft of the manor with businesses coming from all over Lolland.

December 2009 CHRISTMAS VETERAN TRAIN 2009
The Railway Museum arranges a Christmas trip on the old steam train from Nykøbing F. to Bandholm and from Nakskov to Bandholm.

December 2009 CHRISTMAS MARKET IN NAKSKOV 
Huge Christmas market with Christmas booths where they sell gløgg (mulled wine with raisins and almonds), æbleskiver (small batter cake), roasted almonds, Christmas decorations, wreaths, Christmas elves, art and craftwork, fried twists, warm cocoa and many other exciting articles.
