One of Northern Europe’s biggest collections of plants in private property.The grounds are laying on 30.000 square metres. The garden’s many different grounds are marked by an inspiration, which mainly come from the famous English gardens that the owner has visited a lot of times.
Besides the interesting grounds the garden is characterized by the most remarkable collection of plants, the thousands of green frogs in the lakes of the garden and the rich bird life, because the garden is laying like an oasis in the landscape, which on Lolland consist of flat fields.
In the garden there are 1.100 kinds of rhododendrons and hybrids, 70 magnolias, 40 bamboos, 900 Hosta, 500 daylilies, 500 peonies, 400 Christmas roses together with many other different plant stocks in a major number of sorts like for example hydrangea, maples, ilex, crab apples and many other.
There are benches several places in the garden, where it is allowed to enjoy your own sandwiches. It is also possible to enjoy it in the pavilion, where there is room for 12 people. You’ll find the pavilion in the planted area for studies (arboretum) |
