Stubbekøbing Museum Information Point

Stubbekøbing Museum is a cosy local history museum, and a modern knitting museum and you can get help with tourist information during the museum opening hours.

In an old merchant's house in the centre of the main street in Stubbekøbing you'll find Stubbekøbing Museum with 3 departments, on the ground floor: an Info-Café and a local history museum, and on the first floor: Denmark's only knitting museum.

On the ground floor you can get information about the local area in the Info-Café, where you can also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. You can also visit 'Mrs Nielsen's Living Room', which is a snapshot of how life was lived in the early 1900s in the market town of Stubbekøbing.
There is also one of Europe's largest collections of scales and a fine collection of blue-enamelled kitchen utensils, as well as a shoemaker's workshop and more.

On the second floor you will find Denmark's first knitting museum: STRIK på 1'ste. Here you'll find a unique historical collection of knitted artefacts and tools. Every summer, a knitwear designer exhibits his or her creations. If you love knitting, you will immediately feel at home!
In addition, there are often events of various kinds.
