Det Gamle Apotek was granted its pharmacy licence by Frederik III in 1645. The current front building with an impressive baroque facade was built in 1777. The old gabled house from 1645 can be seen if you walk through the gate. A large birch tree grows in the centre of the pharmacy's courtyard, and behind the courtyard you will find the pharmacy garden.
