Peter L. Jensen grew up by Grønsund on the north-eastern coast of the Danish island of Falster as the son of a pilot and fisherman. He later became known as a co-inventor of the loudspeaker. Jensen played an important role in the development of modern audio technology in the United States and was inducted into the Electronics Hall of Fame in Las Vegas in 2001.
A commemorative plaque at the privately owned house tells the story of the local inventor from Falster's north-eastern coast.
