Fejø Organic Food Forest and Slow Food Farm

Explore an organic forest garden where edible plants and natural interactions offer an inspiring introduction to sustainable cultivation.

Step into the 5,000 m² organic forest garden, where biodiversity and sustainable cultivation are at the centre.

Here, an Eco Food Forest and Slow Food Farm are taking shape, demonstrating how future food production can be developed on Lolland-Falster. The forest garden is designed as a living ecosystem, where plants, soil and insect life support one another through natural processes.

Visitors can explore a biodiversity garden filled with edible plants, berries, fruits and herbs. Established in 2020, the garden brings together both young and more mature plantings, creating a varied expression and a clear sense of how the forest garden continues to evolve. Here, the diversity of organic cultivation is experienced through sight, scent and taste.

The garden can be visited during opening hours, and guided tours are available by appointment. These tours explain the ideas behind the Eco Food Forest, the selection of plants and the methods that enable the area to thrive without artificial inputs. They are suited to families, gardening enthusiasts and visitors interested in the Slow Food Farm approach.
