KØSTEN stage 3 offers a varied hiking route along the east coast of Falster, taking you through an open coastal landscape with views of the Baltic Sea. The route mainly follows gravel paths and leads from the coastal cliffs shaped by erosion to the Falster Sea Dike, which protects the low-lying countryside behind the coast.

From the dike, you can enjoy views of the Baltic Sea on one side and fields, meadows and villages on the other. The stage is mostly flat, making it suitable for most hikers, while a few gentle inclines add variety along the way. The open landscape also means that you will experience the changing coastal weather throughout the hike.

There is access to the beach at several points along the route. At Ulslev Beach, stairways lead down the cliffs to a wide sandy beach, offering excellent opportunities for a break, a swim in the Baltic Sea or fishing from the shore. You will also find several places along the route where you can relax and enjoy the sea views.

Practical facilities, including toilets and drinking water, are available at several locations. There are also shelters close to the beach for those wishing to stay overnight. In the popular seaside resort of Marielyst, you will find a wide range of accommodation, shops, restaurants and other services.

Stage 3 is ideal for hikers looking for a peaceful walk close to the sea, with wide coastal views, easy beach access and plenty of opportunities to take a break along the way.
